The Digicel Fiji 7s team now sees themselves in a tougher pool for the last leg of the 2012/2013 HSBC World 7s series in London, after they had a disappointing tournament in the Glasgow Rugby Sevens, after going down to England in the quarterfinals, 15-12, before a shocking defeat to United States in the plate semifinal, 22-7.

The team has been placed in third Pool C with England, Argentina and Samoa.

In other results, South Africa went on to beat New Zealand in the Scotland 7s Cup final 28 – 21 and currently sits in second place on the overall standings.  But the New Zealanders secured their 11th IRB 7s title, after they defeated Argentina to qualify for the cup semi final.

USA beat Argentina 17-7 to win the plate final, Australia defeated Kenya 12-5 to win the bowl competition while France beat Russia 21-17 to win the shield final.
