Fiji Muslim Women’s League to reach out to the community

Fiji Muslim Women’s League is organizing a community outreach awareness programme to showcase their services and interact with and educate public, this Friday at the Nadi Muslim College, Nadi.

The organizations that will be present are; Fiji Nursing Association – Cervical Cancer Screening, Medical Services Pacific – Pap Smear testing, Fiji Police Force – Sexual Offences Unit, Legal Aid Commission – provide legal counsel, National Fire Authority, Fiji Women’s Crisis Centre, Land Transport Authority, Consumer Council of Fiji, Ministry of Youth, Red Cross, Empower Pacific, Virtues Fiji, National Food and Nutrition Committee.

The League is encouraging neighbouring communities to take advantage of the services available.

Fiji Muslim Women’s League, in conjunction with the Fiji Muslim League, is also organizing a Panel Discussion to address the above issue and discuss possible actions and solutions.

The invited panelists are; Minister for Women, Social Welfare and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Dr Jiko Luveni, Deputy Police Commissioner, Ravi Narayan and Fiji Sugar Corporation Executive Chairman, Abdul Khan.

The awareness programme will begin at 9am.
