FIJI TV STILL IN NEGOTIATION ON ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE SRIES

Fiji Television announced on Tuesday that they are still negotiating with the English Premier League’s Content Rights holder, MP Silva, on the acquisition of the EPL series for 2013 and 2014 .

Chief Executive Officer, Tevita Gonelevu said that the program rights amount that MP Silva is requesting from Fiji TV is quite substantial and not within the budgeted program amount. Fiji TV is still negotiating with MP Silva to bring the content price down.

We assure our Pay TV subscribers and viewers that Fiji TV is also looking at other alternative options in bringing EPL matches to Fiji”, said Gonelevu.

Fiji TV is the Oceania Pacific’s biggest broadcaster which broadcasts 17 channels through its Sky Pacific Pay TV network throughout ten (10) Pacific Island countries.
