A foreign national appeared at the Nadi Magistrates Court this morning charged with alleged bribery and being in possession of arms.
The accused arrived into the country yesterday morning and was found in possession of arms and ammunition after he was searched by a customs officer.
It is also alleged that the accused tried to bribe a customs officer not to open his bags.
He was charged with one count of bribery of official and found in possession of arms and ammunitions.
The 29-year-old accused is a Tongan national living and working in USA.
