Healthy horses, improved livelihoods, happy people

A two day vet clinic specifically aimed at treating horses will be hosted by the Outrigger on the Lagoon · Fiji this Friday 14th and Saturday 15th June at the resorts Navure parklands across from the resort.

The clinic is the initiative of the resort’s General Manager Peter Hopgood who said the resort operates in a region of horses (the horse being the representation of Nadroga) which are used for farming and is an essential animal for the livelihood of the people.

“Because horses are so important for farming in our region we thought of inviting a team of vet’s to set up a clinic to take a look at the horses of the surrounding villages to ensure that these horses are healthy”, Mr. Hopgood stated.

“The vet’s will also be able to advise our farmers on the proper health care for their horses to ensure that these creatures are well looked after and in turn help in their farming and bettering their lives”, Mr. Hopgood added.
