Local teams confirmed for Pacific Cup in Sydney

The four teams from Fiji to participate in the 2014 Pacific Cup which will be played in Sydney, Australia have been confirmed.

Nadi, who is the defending champion after winning the title for two successive years, will be accompanied by Rewa, Ba and Suva.

The announcement was made by the Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel as the four sides to represent the national football body were selected based on their performance in the 2014 season.

Patel also said the costs for the local participating teams will be accommodated by the tournament organisers.

Rewa will be out to make their first appearance in the competition to be played in Australia for the first time as the tournament is made is possible through a partnership between NZ Fiji FA Inc. and Australia Fiji FA.

The tournament is schedule to be played at the Sydney United Football Stadium from November 19-23.
