Preparations are well underway as more than 50 teams have been confirmed to be playing for this year’s Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s.
Speaking to The Jet Newspaper, one of the tournament organizers, Jioji Kinisi said the big teams have also confirmed their participation.
“Just yesterday, there have been 55 teams confirmed that will be playing and we are expecting some more. Teams like Red Rock, Samurai Barracudas, Army Green, Army Red and two teams from the Wardens have also confirmed their participation in the tournament,” he said.
Kinisi said they have also being putting up the tournament’s posters along the towns on Kings and Queens Highway.
“We are aiming to put up the posters by this afternoon. We have a team that has already put up the posters from Sigatoka to Nadi, another team putting up the poster in Ba, Rakiraki and right up to Suva. We also have put up posters in Denarau,” he said.
The tournament will be played on March 1-2 at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
