The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) confirms it has received information that Imshad Izrar Ali was arrested by New Delhi Police on 18 September 2014 for overstaying his visa.
Mr Ali is wanted in Fiji for the murder of Rajeshni Sharma.
“We are currently liaising with Indian authorities to have him deported to Fiji to face murder charges,” said DPP, Mr Christopher Pryde.
