Nakarawa aims to retain Hong Kong 7s title

After two years, Leone Nakarawa is back with the national sevens team and aims to go and retain the Hong Kong 7s title.

Fiji 15’s Locks, Nakarawa said the team is really confident of a good challenge at the Happy Valley.

“This will really be a good challenge for us as a team, as we will go and try and give our very best to retain what Fiji is well known for in sevens rugby,” he said.

Nakarawa aims to improve on the retention of the ball on every kick off from the opposing team.

Head Coach, Alivereti Dere said the players have been working hard on their defence.

“Our performance not that good and we didn’t play to our strength and going into this Hong Kong leg, we’ve got a very slim chance in defending that cup. So we are working hard in trying to get back to our game as usual,” he said.

Meanwhile, At 9.06pm this Friday Fiji takes on Hong Kong in their first pool match.

On Saturday Fiji takes on Spain at 2.06pm and their last pool match is against Canada at 10.54pm
