Nasinu run out winners over RSMS

Nasinu Secondary School defeated the team from Ratu Sukuna Memorial School (RSMS) in the first game of the 2014 Suva Secondary Schools’ Competition at Albert Park yesterday.

In the game in the under-16 boys’ category, the team from RSMS won the toss and elected to bat.  Top scoring for both the match and his team was Kula with 16 runs – half his team’s total – before they were dismissed for 29 runs in the sixth over. Best with the ball from Nasinu was Ledua, with figures of 4-4.

In the end Nasinu chased down the target in eight overs to put themselves atop their pool and win the first game of the newly restructured Suva Secondary Schools’ Competition.

Today the competition in the U16 girls’ category will commence, when Adi Cakobau School take on the team from Ballantine Memorial School.  Play will commence at 3pm at Albert Park two.
