PM DISTRIBUTES COPIES OF THE 2013 CONSTITUTION IN THE NORTH

During his current tour of Vanua Levu , the Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama will be opening five new Government Telecentres in which the first was opened at Seqaqa Secondary School in Labasa this afternoon.

On Tuesday, others will be launched at the Nadogo Secondary School -another rural area – and the Shri Guru Nanak Khalsa College in Labasa town. And on Wednesday, the PM will open Telecentres at the Labasa Muslim College and the Savusavu Secondary School, in Vanua Levu’s second main town.

The PM isaccompanied on his visit by the Attorney General and Minister for Communications, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum.

The AG described the five new Telecentres as an important part of the Government’s overall plan to accelerate development in the North.

“Our ‘Look North’ program is one of the Government’s main priorities and that includes empowering ordinary Fijians by giving them access to the same telecommunications services enjoyed by those living in Viti Levu”, he said.
