Prime Minister, Voreqe Bainimarama will open Fiji’s largest and most prestigious sporting event – the Fiji International Golf Tournament this evening at the Intercontinental Fiji Golf and Spa Hotel in Natadola.

With a potential to reach more than 400 million people across 30 countries, the tournament showcases Fiji as one of the best golf and tourist destinations in homes across the globe.

Countries to be represented in this tournament include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Chinese Taipei, Fiji, India, Korea, Japan, Indonesia, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, United States of America and Zimbabwe.

The Fiji International has attracted many golfing professionals such as Fiji’s Vijay Singh, major champion Nick Price and India’s Anirban Lahiri and is co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and One Asia.
