ALLEGED DROWNING

 The body of a 42 year old electrician was found floating near a creek beside the old Nausori Court House on Saturday, April 19 at around 1pm.

The victim was last seen leaving home at 9am to fish at the said creek and at 12pm he again contacted his wife to say he that he was still fishing.

 However at 1pm his body was discovered floating at the creek and was conveyed to the Nausori Hospital where unfortunately he was pronounced dead on arrival.

 Investigations continue .

SEARCH TO CONTINUE

 The search for the body of a 5 year old boy who went missing at Nasigatoka village, Rewa was further continued on Sunday, April 20.

 The victim was last seen at around 4pm on Saturday, April 19 with other children near the village sea wall when one of the children allegedly pushed him into the sea.

 Police say that according to Initial information received villagers were at the village hall for a gathering and once they were informed of the incident a search was conducted before the matter was reported to Police at 6pm.

The search was conducted by villagers from Nasigatoka, Nasilai, Nabua, Lomanikoro Rewa and police but proved futile.

 Updates from a search conducted yesterday morning is still pending.

WEST BODY FIND

 The body of a woman was found floating near Marine Drive, Lautoka yesterday by two men.

 Police say that the deceased was originally from Nadi and was known to be a beggar on the streets of Lautoka.

 The deceased’s body was discovered by a 56 year old watchman and a 26 year old van driver on Saturday, April 19 at around 8am.

 Investigations continue to determine the cause of death.
