Weather advisory

In light of the strong wind warning issued by the Nadi Weather Office people are being advised to take precautionary measures and limit maritime movement and activities as much as possible.

This follows an incident yesterday where a 60 year old woman of Laqere drowned when the boat they were travelling in capsized due to strong waves in Vunivadra waters yesterday. While we await the post mortem results this incident unfortunately should serve as a reminder for people to adhere to the weather advisories issued by our weather office.
