Pride in rugby will never be erased from national 7s rep, Ulaiasi Lawavou, after being one of the five players not allowed to play at the Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s this year.

Now, the team manager for the Western Police, Lawavou said rugby is something he has at heart, no matter how big or small the tournament might be.

“I was one of the national sevens team players who were not allowed to play for this tournament, because we are preparing for the Hong Kong 7s. But that doesn’t stop me from coming and being part of this tournament that usually develop good rugby players,” he said.

Lawavou said he has motivated his players to always play their hearts out.

“Before entering the ground, we have created that mindset to don’t take any players lightly and take every game as a challenge,” he said.

The other four players not allowed to play for the tournament are; Samisoni Viriviri, Nemani Nagusa, Setefano Cakau and Levani Botia.
