Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama today attended the funeral of the late Roko Tui Ra, Sakiusa Karavaki, in Verata, Tailevu.
The Head of the Fijian Government joined family members and friends at Naloto village in Verata where he paid tribute to Mr Karavaki for his dedication to improving the lives of ordinary Fijians during his term as ‘Roko’ in the province of Ra.
He said that Mr Karavaki’s term between 2009 to 2014 helped transformed many lives in both the province of Namosi and Ra; in particular the lives of Fijians living in remote communities in these provinces.
