A record number of 26 corporate teams have entered The Coral Coast Hotels Association annual Charity Golf Day to be held on Sunday, November 30 at Natadola Championship Golf Course.

The teams will be competing for prizes donated by Tappoo, Jacks of Fiji and Prouds. The Coral Coast resorts have also donated six separate prizes of five night’s accommodation; on six of the holes for closest to the pin, longest drive and straightest drive.

More than $30,000 worth of prizes will be on offer.

Chairman of the Coral Coast Hotel Association, Mr. Peter Hopgood, said the charity golf day was all about fun while raising money for a very worthy cause.

“The hoteliers are eagerly awaiting the big day and this year all monies raised will go towards building a new medivac helipad at the Sigatoka District Hospital,” Mr. Hopgood said.

The Coral Coast resorts are looking to support the government in this venture.
The tournament is in its third year and has previously raised over $100,000. Mr. Hopgood said this year’s goal was $80,000.

The resorts on the Coral Coast would like to thank Tourism Fiji, ANZ, Marsh Insurance, Coca Cola Amatil, Fiji Water and Vodafone for their generous Silver Sponsorship of the event.
