RENOWNED NEW ZEALAND CHEF PETER BECKER JOINS MUSKET COVE, FIJI

Peter Becker, the chef, is a veteran of some of New Zealands most acclaimed kitchens – Cin Cin, Euro and Iguacu to name a few. He spent last year at the Boat Shed Lodge on Waiheke Island and has recently joined Musket Cove Island Resort and Marina.

Good move. Although Musket Coves cuisine has been one of the standouts in Fiji. Having Peter on board will take things to an entirely different level.

His menus reveal smart planning and two fascinations. His passion for using and incorporating local produce and Fiji cuisine. And his desire to share his many years of knowledge and experience with the local talent.

Peter is often found in the islands organic vegetable garden pottering around his micro herbs, or at the Marina taking delivery of the days catch. And never short of a smile.

“Having Peter on board has been a revelation, and our culinary team are extremely excited to be working with, and learning from such a master. Equally exciting is Peters desire to unlock and incorporate Fiji ingredients which many chefs shy away from,” says general manager Garry Snodgrass.

The iconic island of Malolo Lailai, a leisurely fifty minute fast catamaran journey from Denarau is the home of Musket Cove Island Resort and Marina. A wonderful fifty five room resort offering a truly Fijian barefoot island experience.
