SHANGRI-LA’S FIJIAN RESORT AND SPA, YANUCA, FIJI PRESENTS LONG SERVICE AWARDS FOR STAFF WHO CLOCK UP 615 YEARS OF SERVICE

A special luncheon was held recently at Shangri-La’s Fijian Resort and Spa, Yanuca, Fiji honour 21 of the resort’s staff members who have clocked up a total of 615 years of service to the company. Two of the recipients, Kathy Anthony and Aminesh Nitesh Kumar, have both worked at the resort for 35 years. Kathy has worked as a personal assistant for 14 general managers at the resort and Aminesh works as part of the engineering team.

The Long Service Awards ceremony is a way in which Shangri-La thanks colleagues for their hard work and commitment to the company, and a special luncheon is held annually and hosted by the general manager. During the luncheon, recipients are awarded long service certificates and Shangri-La pins for years of service between 10-35 years.

In addition, this year’s recipients received gift vouchers to dine in the resort’s restaurants, and awardees who have worked at the resort for between 25-35 years were given accommodation vouchers.
