Monday 29 April – Sheraton Fiji Resort and Digicel Fiji last night hosted the Digicel Fiji 7s team to a farewell dinner before they depart for the fifth and final leg of the HSBC IRB Series which will be held in Scotland from May 4-5 and in England from May 11-12.
Last night Director for Sales & Marketing of Sheraton Fiji Resort, Mr Paul Yui states, ‘Sheraton Fiji Resort is proud to be hosting the Digicel Fiji 7s team at Feast Restaurant tonight. This is an excellent opportunity for our guests and associates to meet the team and wish them well for the final leg of the HSBC IRB Sevens Series’.
Mr Yui added that the team had the support of the Management and Associates of Sheraton Fiji Resort and were looking forward to the team doing well in the final two rounds.
‘We are extremely passionate about sevens rugby,this is a small token ofour support as they have accomplished a lot this season and we wish them well for the final leg. It is also great for our guests and associates to have the opportunity to mingle with the team and we look forward to working more with the Fiji Rugby and Digicel for future events’ Mr Yui said.
Digicel Fiji’s Regional Manager West, Ms. Jiu Daunivalu states, “The Digicel Fiji 7s team has performed well in the series winning two titles including the prestigious Hong Kong 7s title and we are looking forward to the team doing well in Scotland and trying to defend their title in London.
“There is a good mix of experienced and young players in the team and we are confident of a good outing in Europe,” said Ms. Daunivalu.
The Digicel Fiji 7s team will take on Spain in their first pool match on Saturday 4 May.
