Sun Mark acquires £6 million site next to its headquarters in Greenford for new distribution centre

As part of the company’s expansion plans, Sun Mark plans to construct a 100,000 Sq Ft state of the art distribution centre with underground parking, all weather covered vehicle bays, automated picking facilities and additional office space. The new centre will require further investment of £5 million and it is estimated will reduce loading times by 30% and unloading times by 50% and make the operation considerably more efficient. It should be operational by 2015. This will create many more jobs for the local economy.

The company’s sales are growing at over 30% per annum in spite of the global recession and have done so for over 10 years. The Chairman, Dr Rami Ranger MBE, is optimistic about the future and feels that the growth will continue for foreseeable future due to its brands gaining market recognition over time. He further said that the new site is needed to provide much needed space to accommodate future growth and expansion.
