Telecom Fiji Limited showed their appreciation to the National Women Rugby Team for finishing off fourth at the IRB Women Sevens World Series in China this year by hosting them to lunch on Wednesday, April 23.
Chief Executive Officer, Telecom Fiji Limited, Mr. Mothilal De Silva said, “I am excited about the future of women’s rugby, the sport has become an international craze and it’s great to see our women on the eighth position on the series standings. There is great potential for the women in sports and encouragement as such will set examples for the rest.”
The National Team Manager, Ms. Selita Koroi mentioned the Team is training for their next engagement which will be in September this year. They have 18 weeks to shape the team for their next international tournament.
Telecom Fiji Limited as a token of their appreciation gave each member of the team, including their team management free smart phones with internet. The Team was excited to receive the warm hospitality of their sponsors and promises to do them proud at all future tournaments.
