Fine and humid weather prevailed over the west this past week. Some isolated afternoon and evening showers were evident, which were due to a SPCZ just to the north of Vanua Levu while a weak low pressure was near Rotuma.

Monasavu once again reported a handy total of 187mm for the week with 65mm recorded on 21st of December, which was the highest 24 hour accumulation at any of the stations. Nadi Airport and the Penang Mill also reported a weekly accumulation of about 40mm.
