Western heat a concern for southern football teams

Suva Football is gearing up preparation towards the western heat as they take on the western giants Rewa this Saturday in Prince Charles, Nadi.

Coach Gurjit Singh said from the games he has been witnessing last week, he saw that the teams did suffer under the heat.

“I t will affect the southern teams as we are trying to adapt to the heat which is really hot, but our team is preparing really well,” he said.

Sing also said they will surely miss the departure of their midfield player Samuela Kautoga who moved to Amicale Football Club in Vanuatu.

In league matches this weekend – On Saturday, at Prince Charles Park in Nadi, Suva plays Rewa at 1.30pm followed by Nadi and Ba at 3.30pm.

On Sunday at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka, at 1.30pm Navua takes on Tavua and at 3.30pm, Nadroga hosts Lautoka.
