Young Orator Makes School Proud

It was a proud moment for Nawaka District School and Mr and Ms Tavasara from Nawaka, Nadi as their daughter Asena Tavasara, a class eight student from Nawaka District, who won third place at the 2013 Annual Nadi Primary Schools Oratory Competition organized by the Swami Vivekananda College of Nadi today.

Back from the dust the school last wining the competition coming in first place in 2011, schools Head Teacher Mr Joeli Bulu Derenalagi was extremely proud of Asena’s achievement and thanked her for her hard work and making the school proud.

“The battle was tough but we came out to be too strong for some of the schools,” Oratory teacher for the school Mr Sharma said.

Meanwhile, twenty schools from the Nadi area took part in the competition, with the theme based on the teachings of the Swami Vivekananda College “No Limitation to Mind”.
