A 19-year-old woman died after she was allegedly assaulted by her 21-year-old partner on Friday night in Colo-I-Suva remains in Police custody at the Valelevu Police Station.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirmed that the victim was Salanieta Leba.
The incident occurred in Colo-i-Suva.
The suspect allegedly punched and stabbed the victim during a heated argument over a Facebook message that was sent to a relative of the victim.
She was rushed to the Colonial War Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival
