The Commonwealth Bank Australian Country Cricket Championships (ACCC)  which had began on  the 5th  of January   and will conclude on the 12th of January in Bendigo, Australia. The competition will feature the top players from the country areas of five Australian states as well as an International Cricket Council East Asia Pacific region all-stars side.

The competition will include Queensland Country, N.S.W Country, Victorian Country, South Australian Country, Western Australian Country and the ICC EAP side.  Fiji will be sending three of its top players from the national side as well as their national head Coach to represent the EAP regional side.

The players include Viliame Yabaki, Sekove Ravoka, Viliame Manakitoga as well as national head coach Shane Jurgenson who will be acting as a mentor in the assistant coaching position for the EAP side.

It’s a huge opportunity for both Fiji and the Pacific region to show Australia the strength and depth of talent emerging from the region, particularly as Fiji has recently jumped to the 40th ranked team out of the 104 Cricket Association worldwide. A big move for a sport continually on the rise in the Fiji Islands.
