Final journey for Papalii Peter ‘Fats’ Fatialofa

The body of Papalii Peter ‘Fats’ Fatialofa arrives tonight from Samoa accompanied by family members. A private family ‘lotu’ will be held at his home late tonight.

The New Zealand public will have the opportunity to attend his Family Service at the Vodafone Event Center , Manukau, next Tuesday 12th November at 6pm, and his Funeral Service to be held at the same venue on Wednesday at 10am.

Tributes continues to come from far and wide.

TV3’s Howard (Dobbo) Dobson said, “I remember many things about Fats. I shared his dressing room when he fought in the Fight for Life. He will be deeply missed.”

The Manu Samoa first game of the Northern Hemisphere Tour against Ireland will be dedicated to the late Papalii Peter Fatialofa. Manager, Namulauulu Sami Leota said, “Our Game this Saturday will be dedicated to Papalii in memory of all the great work that he has done for our Rugby and our community as a whole both in Samoa and New Zealand. May he rest in peace.”

A special tribute program will be aired tonight on Radio 531 PM and simultaneously on Radio Niu FM at 7pm. Further tributes will be aired on Radio Samoa during their Friday sports at 10am tomorrow.
