FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVES DONATION OF SUPPORT VEHICLES FROM AMBASSADOR SEONG-IN KIM

In an official handing over ceremony at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr Seong-In Kim, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea (ROK) to Fiji officially handed over four new motor vehicles to Foreign Minister Ratu Inoke Kubuabola who received the donation on behalf of the Fijian Government.

At the handing-over ceremony, Minister Kubuabola expressed sincere appreciation of the donation saying this is a demonstration of the deepening relations between Fiji and the Republic of Korea (ROK).

ROK was one of the first countries to establish diplomatic relations with Fiji, when it did in 1971 and relations between the two countries had grown with high level exchanges and meetings over the forty years of diplomatic relations.

Minister Kubuabola added that Fiji continues to value the relationship with Republic of Korea and hopes that exchanges like this will only for the strengthen relations.

The four vehicles are earmarked to support protocol services for visiting dignitaries whilst in the country on meetings and conferences.
