NADI MUSLIM PRIMARY VICTORIOUS AFTER CRICKET FUN GAMES

Nadi Muslim Primary School had a clean sweep at the Cricket Fun games organized by the Fiji Cricket Association.  The games were played for six overs in two categories, U11 and U14, where Nadi Muslim Primary School won both the grade after the finale of the round robin games.

In the U14 category, NMPS won all its round robin matches to claim the title for the second time in a row.

Team captain Ahmez Shabil said that it was a team effort which led to this victory. Nadi Primary claimed the runners up spot.

NMPS also won the U11 category after winning two of its three matches and having a better difference than Andrews Primary who also registered two wins.

Team coaches, Mr Ayzal and Mr Hafiz were overwhelmed after the win.

“We trained hard for this result and we thank all the players for putting up a fine performance and also the Fiji Cricket Association Officials for guiding and coaching the players during their visits to the school.

NMPS Head Teacher, Mr Mohammed Ali praised the efforts put in by all the teams and commended the development of the sport by the Fiji Cricket Association.

The Fiji Cricket Association has a programme whereby they visit schools and train the children in this sport.

The four schools that took part in the competition were Nadi Muslim, Andrews Primary, Nadi Primary and Nadi Airport School.
