Officers urged to keep roads safer

The twenty five Police Officers who have undergone four weeks of Traffic Investigators training will help keep our roads safer.

The Fiji Police Force Director of Traffic, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mahesh Mishra said after weeks of intensive training, these Police Officers are now better equip to serve the public.

“In the past, our main weakness is forgetting about the basics and its now time to get it right in order to improve our service deliveries,” said SSP Mishra.

The director said the twenty five participants were chosen out of the two hundred officers in the traffic department to participate in this course because of the special qualities they posses.

With that quality now been mould and properly nurtured, SSP Mishra hopes that they will utilize their abilities in keeping our roads safe.

The participants also had a chance to hear views from representatives from the Land Transport Authority and from the Ministry of Finance.

The Police Traffic Director thanked the course participants for their commitment and hoped that they are looking forward to be reunited with their families after spending four weeks apart.
