Telecom Fiji Limited has stepped up to help the Suva Primary School Netball Association (SPSNA) stage the netball competition that involves upcoming young netters.

Telecom Fiji Limited acting CEO, Ivan Fong said he was very proud of their partnership with the association and hoped for a great future for netball.

” Telecom Fiji Limited has been a part of this sponsorship for the past five years and has always supported the development of our children not only in life skills but also in extra curriculum activities including sports activities such as netball,” he said.

Mr Fong said Telecom Fiji Limited would also support healthy living and being a part of a sport would ensure our children were brought up not only mentally strong but physically able.

SPSNA president Mrs Elenoa Vadei said she was grateful to TFL for their sponsorship because it would be used for the development of the sport in the young children participating.

Mrs Vadei said Netball Fiji was always in need of money and that these were hard times for the association.

The competition will begin with 20 schools within the Suva, Lami and Nasinu School districts with a total of 1500 students participating in the sport in five different grades from the Under 9 to Under 14.

Suva Primary School Netball Association was awarded $7,000 in sponsorship money for their weekly competition, which begins today.
