Chiefs make changes for battle against Stormers

Chiefs’ team has announced several changes to their side, this is to prepare them for their clash against Stormers.

Changes include MahonriSchwalgerwho starts as hooker and Tanerau Latimer at blindside flanker, while Craig Clarke resumes his starting spot at lock and Liam Messam moves to number eight.

Charlie Ngatai starts at inside centre, with Nick Crosswell making his debut and Andrew Horrell back from injury. Hika Elliot and Augustine Pulu will be on the reserve.

Stormers who lost from Sharks last Saturday, has made minimal changes with two adjustments giving the team a much needed continuity in crucial backline position.

Nic Groom will, again, combine with Elton Jantjies at halfback, with Damian de Allende and captain Jean de Villiers starting at centre for the third match in succession.

These two teams have enjoyed great battles over the years and look forward to another match, with Stormers currently leading the head-head tally with eight wins to Chiefs’ with six victories.

The Stormers will host the Chiefs at 3.05am Sunday.

In other matches, tonight the Hurricanes will face the Crusaders at 6.35pm while the Rebels will play the Reds at 8.40pm.

On Saturday the Highlanders will face the Cheetahs at 6.35pm, the Brumbies will face the Waratahs at 8.40pm while on Sunday the Kings will take on the Sharks at 5.10am while the Blues will face the Bulls at 3.05pm Sunday at Eden Park.
