A 23 year old farmer of Bua will be produced at the Labasa Magistrates Court this morning charged with the abduction of a young person.
It is alleged the accused sometime during the period between 17/09/13 and 18/09/13 eloped with a 15 year old student of Waiqele.
On the above date the accused who is a cane cutter met the victim and took her to their camp and stayed with her. The victim was reported missing by her mother on Tuesday and upon search found her staying with the accused who was also subsequently arrested.
The 23 year old has been charged with abduction of a young person and will be produced in court this morning.
