Jetsetters tame Lions

The Jack’s Nadi side has regained its lead in the Fiji sun/GP Batteries national football league series after defeating the Kalyanji pala Labasa side by two goals at Prince Charles Park on Sunday 21st April.

Former Labasa midfielder, Lekima Gonerau gave the Jetsetters a much needed start into the game. His shot riffled past Emori Ragata giving him no chance to save the ball from getting into the back of the net.

At the breather Jack’s Nadi held the upper hand against Kalyanji pala Labasa by a goal.

Jack’s Nadi continued their brillent style of football, mesmerizing the crowd. Napolioni Qasevakatini had one of the best chances to put Jacks Nadi further ahead but poor finishing did not allow that to happen.

In the 22nd minute of the second half Uraia Loki headed in a well timed cross from Rusiate Matarerega to put Jack’s Nadi a two goal advantage.

With the inclusion of the former national stopper, Kalyanji Pala Labasa had no answer for the two goals scored against them.

In the other match of the day Tavua was held to a one all draw by Savusavu. Both teams are on the bottom of the series table and are out of the upcoming Fiji Fact Tournment.

Jack’s Nadi currently leads the table with 25 points after 11 matches followed by Suva who have played 10 games on 22.Ba is on third with 21 points and they have played only nine games.
