NAVUA SCHOOLS TO CLOSE DUE TO FLOODING

The Ministry of Education has announced that all schools in Navua will close due to flooding in most low lying parts.

The Ministry is reminding school heads in Navua to ensure that students are provided the necessary assistance when travelling back to their homes.

Authorities including parents are reminded to monitor the movements of the students outside school premises and to ensure that all students return home safely.

The Ministry will advise on the date for students to return to school.

Meanwhile,  the Weather office has advised that a flood warning is in force for all low lying areas in Navua, in particular those low lying areas adjacent to and downstream of the Waibogi and Sabata Station.
