Ratu Sukuna Memorial School wins secondary school cricket

Ratu Sukuna Memorial School snatched the 2014 Cricket Fiji Secondary School Competition Under 16 and the Mix teams’ title from Nasinu Secondary School yesterday afternoon.

The Mix team took to the ground first and the School from Nabua opted to bat first.  Nasinu batted first and was able score 2 for 58 runs. However, Ratu Sukuna Memorial School proved too powerful as they exceeded their rivals score with 2 for 62 runs.

The rain still did not dampen their spirits as the U16 Boys games went underway. Ratu Sukuna memorial school opted to bat first and scored all out for 53 runs in the 8th over.

In the second innings, Nasinu Secondary School scored 3 for 49 runs in the last over and was unable to surpass their opponent.

The games continue today, in the Under 16 and U18 girls Gospel High meets Adi Cakobau School while U18 Boys Ratu Sukuna Memorial School meets AOG High School.
