Round 1 of Suva Cricket draws to a close

With round one of the Suva Cricket Association’s club competition drawing to a close, all teams are still fighting hard for promotion and to avoid relegation for the second round of the season.

Yadrana remains atop the Premier Grade competition on 91 points with two games remaining, followed by the BSP Titans on 82 points.  Army and Komo remain tied for third position on 51 points, but with Army having an extra game still to play.  Rounding out the Premier Grade are VICC (41.5 points), Moce 2 (40.5), Sarafui (36.5) and Ono-I-Lau (36), who will all be fighting to remain in the top tier of the competition.

In the A-Grade, the standings remain the same, with no matches being completed last weekend due to a washout.  The Punjabi Tigers remain on track for promotion to the Premier Grade on 119 points with three games to play, followed by Give Me The Mountain on 91 points, Suva Grammar School Old Boys’ (82), Moce 1 (79.5), Oneata (76.5), Covenant Brothers (63.5), BSP Warriors (61.5), Heilala (51.5), Nasaqalau (30), and Police (12.5).

8am – Punjabi Tigers v Moce 1

11am – Yadrana v Moce 2

2pm – Komo v VICC

8am – Army v Sarafui

11am – SGSOB v Heilala

2pm – BSP Titans v Ono-I-Lau

 

FSC Cricket Ground

8am – BSP Warriors v GMTM

11am – Covenant Brothers v Nasaqalau

2pm – Police v Oneata
