Suva, Tailevu North Primary School Zone Finals tomorrow

Cricket Fiji’s Primary School Zone Finals will commence tomorrow, with competitions being held in both the Suva and Tailevu North districts.

Both boys and girls will compete in Under-10, Under-12 and Under-14 divisions, with a massive total of $1000 prize money on offer to the winners, runners-up, and semi-finalists in both Zones.

In Suva eight schools will be contesting all three age groups, many with multiple teams in each category, playing across six grounds.  The pool draws for the Suva competition are as follows:

 

Under-10

Pool 1: Nabua Sanatan Primary School, Veiuto Primary School, St. Marcellin Primary School.

Pool 2: Suva Muslim Primary School, Marist Brothers’ Primary School, Suva Methodist Primary School.

Pool 3: Stella Maris Primary School, Nehru Memorial Primary School, Indira Ghandi Primary School.

 

Under-12

Pool 1: Veiuto Primary School, Indira Ghandi Primary School, Suva Muslim Primary School 1.

Pool 2: Marist Brother’ Primary School 2, Stella Maris Primary School, Nehru Memorial Primary School 1.

Pool 3: Nabua Sanatan Primary School, St. Marcellin Primary School, Suva Methodist Primary School.

Pool 4: Marist Brothers’ Primary School 1, Nehru Memorial Primary School 2, Suva Muslim Primary School 2.

 

Under-14

Pool 1: Marist Brothers’ Primary School 1, Stella Maris Primary School, Nabua Sanatan Primary School.

Pool 2: Veiuto Primary School, Nehru Memorial Primary School, Indira Ghandi Primary School.

Pool 3: Suva Methodist Primary School, Suva Muslim Primary School 1, St. Marcellin Primary School.

Pool 4: Suva Muslim Primary School 2, Veiuto Primary School 2, Marist Brothers’ Primary School 2.

 

In a similar-style of competition, twelve schools will take part in the Tailevu North Zone Finals across the same three age divisions; Dawasamu Primary School, Lawaki Primary School, Natovi Primary School, Namena Primary School, Delainakaikai Primary School, Ratu Filimoni Loco Primary School, Korovou Primary School, Namalata Primary School, Vugalei Primary School, Tai Primary School, Naivicula Primary School, and Dakuivuna Primary School.

The Suva event will kick off at Albert Park at 9am, whilst proceedings in Tailevu North will get underway at a similar time at Gatward Park in Korovou.

The champions are expected to be crowned at approximately 2pm.
