Monday 14 January – The Management and staff of Digicel Fiji would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who provided assistance during month’s cyclone relief efforts. In particular, staff of Digicel, members of the Digicel Fiji 7s team, brand ambassadors, members of the Covenant rugby team, volunteers and last but not the least, Mr. Zoheb Razak, Managing Director,Golden Manufacturers/ZAR Logistics for providing a free truck for transporting 13 tonnes of food items across Fiji. Golden Manufacturers/ZAR Logistics also provided 1,000 cartons, completing their contribution worth $8000. The Digicel team travelled around the island and provided over 1000 families in evacuation centres and villages with food packs containing basis food items.

Digicel Fiji’s Head of Marketing, Ms. Sheryl Singh stated, “It was nice to see people getting together to provide assistance to our fellow citizens. It is our responsibility to lend a helping hand in times of need and we are quite happy to have made a difference”.

Digicel also organised a ‘drop a can’ campaign where members of the public were requested to drop any canned food into boxes located at MHCC, MH Tamavua and at the Digicel Fiji Head Office at Kadavu House in Suva.
