Votualevu, Nadi Muslim winners in the west

There was a great turnout in the west for the Nadi Primary Schools’ Competition this past Thursday.

In the Under-11 division Votualevu Public School beat defending champions Nadi Muslim Primary School in the final.  Votualevu finished on 4-79 after the first innings, where as Nadi Muslim came close but couldn’t reach the winning target in the second innings, with a score of 2-66.

In the Under-14 category it was a better story for Nadi Muslim, with them defending last year’s title against St Andrew’s Primary School. Nadi Muslim made an impressive first innings total of 5-73, whilst St Andrew’s could only manage 5-30.

Cricket Fiji would like to congratulate all finalists and winners, and also pay homage to all schools who are embracing and growing the sport of cricket in Fiji’s west.
