The Fiji Football Association has designated a special lottery fundraising drive to supplement funds for the Vodafone Fijian Under-20 team participating in the FIFA U20 World Cup.
The first for the U20 team fundraising drive, each ticket costs $100 and is expected to raise about $30,000 to cater for our team as they participate in the month tournament in New Zealand.
The lottery tickets offer 10 prizes to be drawn totaling to $25,000; with the first prize money of $10,000 second prize money $2,500 third prize money $1,500 and seven consolation winners winning $200 each. All net proceeds, after prize payouts and expenses, will greatly benefit our players in New Zealand.
The drawing of the tickets will be held on June 27, 5.30pm at the ANZ stadium. Those wanting to purchase a ticket can visit the Fiji Football Academy in Vatuwaqa or call 9920873 / 3300453 to book their ticket. Fiji’s first game is against Germany on June 1 at 1pm at Christchurch Stadium.
