A 19-year-old woman is currently under police guard at the Sigatoka Hospital following the discovery of a new born baby boy in an old pit toilet on Monday.
The matter was referred to Police after she was brought to the hospital after suffering complications from allegedly delivering the baby.
Police were deployed to the scene where they found the baby boy alive in an old pit toilet and he was conveyed to the Sigatoka Hospital where he is recovering well.
The woman is currently admitted at the Labour Ward as investigations continue.
