A 36 year-old man is in police custody after 37 sachets of dried leaves believed to be marijuana were discovered on him in Tovata yesterday.
Police Spokesman Atunaisa Sokomuri said police were alerted that the suspect was dealing in drugs at his home in Tovata and they conducted the raid.
“The officers were also accompanied by police dogs from the Canine Unit and after searching the suspects’ house managed to find 37 sachets which was hidden inside the suspects under-garments,” he said.
Sokomuri confirmed that fifteen sachets were also found by the police hidden beside a television set.
Police is again warning people who involve themselves in this illegal trade to follow the law.
