Mr Croker said he looked forward to the challenge and the task ahead of him especially when Shangri-La Fijian Resort & Spa was on the brink of finalizing renovation plans as well as other exciting new development plans for the resort.
“It was not a difficult decision for me to take on this assignment with such an iconic hotel that has been on this ride with the growth of the tourism industry in Fiji since the very beginning,” Mr Croker said. “It is also important to me to come back home to where it all started for me and be able to contribute and give back to the development and growth of local talent in the tourism industry in Fiji and working with all stakeholders to take this to the next level. “My key focus will of course be on ensuring that we continue to remain the resort of choice post renovations on the coral coast offering an authentic Fijian experience, while working on strengthening key partnerships in both Fiji and abroad building on the strong foundations we already have and developing new business from emerging markets ,” Mr Croker said.
